Zuirinji Temple

A historic temple built in 1430, serving as the fifth stop along the Wakasa 33 Kannon Pilgrimage route. The principal deity of the temple is an image of the Shakyamuni Buddha flanked by two attendants, and it is enshrined at the front of the hon-do main hall. At the top of the mountain, located behind the temple grounds, is Rokkaku-do, the building where the temple stores a precious stone Buddhist statue. It is only exhibited to the public on the mornings of April 23 and October 23 each year.
