Obama City
Myotsuji Temple
This temple is said to have been built in the year 806 by order of Shogun Sakanoue no Tamuramaro. The hon-do main hall was built in 1258, and the 22-meter-tall three-tiered pagoda was built in 1270; both are national treasures. This temple's collection includes many noteworthy items, including the wooden statues of the standing Gozanze Myoo, the standing Jinja Daisho, and the standing Fudo Myoo, all three of which are nationally designated as Important Cultural Properties.
