Ohi Town

Jakushu Itteki Bunko

A cultural establishment built as a museum of religion, art, and literature, as well as to serve as a base for the Jakushu Ningyoza puppet theater, which was promoted by the Naoki Award-winning author and Ohi town native Tsutomu Mizukami. The main building is a beautiful traditional Japanese house with a large garden, and features a library of Mizukami's collection of 20,000 books, as well as exhibits of other materials related to Mizukami. The complex also offers exhibits of bamboo dolls, as well as a theater. Jakushu Itteki Bunko makes a great way to experience the world of Tsutomu Mizukami through the natural beauty of all four seasons.
